The International Symposium of Sustainable Logistics will be held online on April 30, 2021, hosted by Toros University Faculty of Economics, Administrative, and Social Sciences, in cooperation with Toros University and LODER (Logistics Association).
The importance of logistics processes and sustainability was once again acknowledged, especially following the COVID-19 pandemic which had significant global consequences since the end of 2019 and the subsequent evolutions. Companies from different sectors concentrated on evaluating every phase of their processes like resource acquisition, production, and reaching the final consumer because of the closed borders. It has become much more necessary to fulfill the needs of the present generation without exhausting the rights of future generations with the rising competition conditions and the challenge of the disease that we are facing. Indeed the focus on concept of sustainability has come to the fore with the call for The Green Deal of the Horizon 2020 program of the European Union.
In this framework, the purpose of the symposium to be arranged under the main theme of Sustainable Logistics is to expose the latest trends in logistics and supply chain fields. Furthermore this symposium is arranged to share current findings and applications and to contribute to the advancement of scientific studies in these fields and to the development of activities in the sector. Moreover by reviewing regional issues, it will ensure the production of common solutions and the strengthening of vocational and social contact and collaboration between stakeholders. In order to pioneer scholarly and sectoral research, the expertise and experience acquired as a result of the symposium will be released as an electronic book by Toros Universits Faculty of Economics, Administrative and Social Sciences.Full papers to be presented to the symposium will be published in the contracted journals (Australian Journal of Business and Management Research and Toros University Journal of Social Sciences) after the peer review process.
We all look forward to meeting you at the International Symposium of Sustainable Logistics April 30, 2021 with the excitement of organizing one of the most influential academical symposium in Turkey.
